In 1866, Loyal Orange Lodge No. 47 met on the second Wednesday of each month.  Lodge Officers for this year were; Worshipful Master W.F. Powell M.P.P., Deputy Master James Clarke, Secretary Francis Clemow, Treasurer Thomas Nelson, First Committeeman William Wood.
