Loyalty Beyond Borders

Shuswap L.O.B.A. No. 473

Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada
Shuswap Ladies Orange Benevolent Association No. 473 received its warrant in 1922.  The Loyal Orange Association purchased a building a Mr. John Johnston and remodelled the auction rooms upstairs into Lodge Rooms and the downstairs into a hall.  The Hall was located on Palmer Street (151 Trans-Canada NE).

The Twelfth of July was a highlight of the year for the Lodges in the area.  In 1931, Salmon Arm hosted the parade with Lodges from Kamloops, Armstrong, Vernon and Kelowna gathering at the Hall.
